Limerick based Tracworx, the patient and returnable asset tracking company, announced today that it has achieved its primary objectives and milestones outlined in their initial award from the EU Horizon 2020 Framework Programme for SMEs, and has now received the second tranche of funding. The 2nd award brings the total amount of the Company's funding to €2.6m.
Established in 2016, by Chris Kelly, Eoin O'Brien and Fionn Barron, who met at University of Limerick, Tracworx offers workflow and supply chain tracking solutions for greater visibility, predictability and efficiency to organisations. Their Work.ai platform makes workflow and assets smarter to improve decision making, drive customer engagement and increase profitability.
CEO, Chris Kelly (pictured left), said Tracworx is on a mission to empower their customers to achieve success by connecting one billion devices before 2025, and will use the funding to continue to support his company’s growth and expansion plans during 2021 and beyond.
“We are delighted to achieve the first set of milestones in the H2020 programme despite difficult trading conditions due to COVID-19. I am immensely proud of the Tracworx team in the way they have managed to pivot our core technology and launched a new product to safeguard businesses in Ireland, UK, Malta and the Canary Islands. We will use this momentum and the funding to bring new and exciting products to market in healthcare and the reusable packaging market.”
