Dublin Asavie Announce Expansion

Asavie to Create Up to 106 Jobs over Two and Half Years as it Expands IoT and Mobile Management Platform

Asavie, the provider of next generation enterprise mobility management and machine-to-machine (M2M) connectivity solutions, has announced the creation of 106 new Dublin based jobs over the next two and a half years, including several in its engineering department.

Asavie's on-demand SDN PassBridge platform enables mobile operators, VARs and OEM vendors rapidly launch, scale and secure end-user enterprise mobility and Internet of Things projects for millions of subscribers and billions of devices. Their customers include AT&T, Cradlepoint, Telenor, Telefonica O2 and Vodafone.

Citing research carried out by analyst firm, Machina Research, Ralph Shaw, CEO, Asavie,(pictured) said, the total number of M2M connections will grow from 5 billion in 2014 to 27 billion in 2024, a CAGR of 18% with an associated value of US1.6 trillion (1). "We have experienced phenomenal growth over the past few years. This latest evolution of the company builds on the success of Asavie's world-class technology; our talented team, the strength of our global partnerships and the huge demand from companies to secure and control the costs of their mobility and innovative IoT projects as they scale."

Founded in 2004 and headquartered in Dublin, the company currently employs 80 people in Ireland, United Kingdom, Germany, Spain and the United States. It was also a 2015 winner of Deloitte Technology Fast 50 receiving the inaugural Deloitte Fast 50 New Technology Innovation Award in association with Google, and also recently awarded the Outstanding International Growth Award from the Irish Software Association.

Asavie's expansion is supported by the Department of Jobs through Enterprise Ireland. Welcoming today's announcement Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Richard Bruton, said: "A key part of our Action Plan for Jobs is accelerating the development of the fantastic digital cluster we now have in Dublin. Central to this is developing a powerful engine of Irish companies in this sector, and Asavie's announcement today provides a great example of what we are trying to do"

The Minister added: "Here is a highly innovative Irish company, developing ground-breaking technologies in Dublin, working with world-leading multinationals and adding large numbers of jobs here. I wish Ralph and all the team every success for the future."
