Hyperledger is an open source collaborative effort created to advance cross-industry blockchain technologies. It is a global collaboration, hosted by The Linux Foundation, including leaders in finance, banking, Internet of Things, supply chains, manufacturing and Technology.
Hyperledger Meetup groups have an informal relationship with Hyperledger, and make up a key part of the Hyperledger ecosystem. Participation in a Hyperledger Meetup group is open to anyone--employees of a Hyperledger member company, Hyperledger contributors and developers, and people just passionate about blockchain technology.
In this Hyperledger Meetup "Introduction to Hyperledger projects and the Perun lab" our guests will be Matt Zand and Matthias Geihs from Perun Lab. Matt Zand is the author of "Hands-on Smart Contract Development on Hyperledger Fabric" and he will briefly introduce his book to the audience and review the Hyperledger family (DLTs, libraries and tools) and its ecosystem. BerChain
BerChain is a non-profit, member-led association based in Berlin, connecting and promoting the Berlin blockchain community from throughout the blockchain ecosystem and beyond, positioning Berlin as the global Blockchain capital. BerChain facilitates science and research activities, education, and vocational training around the topic of blockchain through which promotes the local Berlin blockchain ecosystem. By doing so, BerChain aims to create a unique interdisciplinary environment and accelerate the local blockchain community growth.
Matthew Zand
Matthew is a serial entrepreneur and the founder of four tech startups: DC Web Makers, HashFlow, Coding Bootcamps and High School Technology Services. He is a leading author of Hands-on Smart Contract Development with Hyperledger Fabric book by O’Reilly Media. He has 15+ years of progressive experience in all aspects of SDLC from ideation of business concepts to designing and deploying web, mobile, software and blockchain applications. He has written more than 100 technical articles and tutorials on blockchain development for Hyperledger, Ethereum and Corda R3 platforms at sites such as IBM, SAP, Alibaba Cloud, Hyperledger, The Linux Foundation, and more. At HashFlow, he leads a team of blockchain experts for consulting and deploying enterprise decentralized applications. As chief architect, he has designed and developed blockchain courses and training programs for Coding Bootcamps and O’Reilly Media Company. He has a master’s degree in business management from the University of Maryland. Prior to blockchain development and consulting, he worked as senior web and mobile App developer and consultant, investor, business advisor for a few startup companies.
Dr. Matthias Geihs
Dr. Matthias Geihs is a Principal Software Architect at PolyCrypt and currently leads the development of the Perun Project.
Before, he worked as an IT Security Specialist in the financial industry at Deutsche Börse Group.
He holds a PhD in Computer Science from TU Darmstadt for his work on secure digital archiving.
