Power BI Premium Capacity Administration Tips & Tricks

Power BI is becoming a mission-critical application: it must simultaneously serve many report creators and consumers, often top managers. Moreover, Power BI reports with imported datasets must be successfully refreshed on-time. Thereby many large companies are investing in the Power BI Premium license and moving their Power BI reports from shared capacities to IT-monitored dedicated ones. In this session, we present several examples when Power BI Premium Capacity Metrics App helps Power BI administrators and we give some tips and tricks when to use Custom Governance Reports based on Metrics App, Power BI REST API, and O365 API.

Bio: Ferenc Csonka, PhD

Ph.D. in Computer Science, 20 years experience in software development, 10+ years experience in Microsoft BI stack, day-by-day usage of Power BI since its very first release, teaching lots of Power BI training in Hungarian and English, co-organizer of Hungarian Power BI Meetup. Last year I was a speaker at Microsoft Tech Summit 2019 conference in Budapest and also at Power Platform World Tour in Vienna. Recently, I had a presentation at Budapest Artificial Intelligence Meetup, Community Summit Europe 2020, Lightup Virtual Conference, and Power BI Days Munich.
